Kentucky Prescription Assistance Program (KPAP)

Nearly $500,000 million prescription benefit to date serving more than 85,000 patients in Kentucky.

KPAP was developed in an effort to replicate a community PAP model developed by HEART USA, a 501(c)3 volunteer organization located in Paducah, Kentucky. The program has streamlined the PAP process through more efficient computer technology, reducing paperwork and increasing public access.

The Kentucky Prescription Assistance Program has generated nearly $500 million in free, or reduced cost prescriptions for qualified Kentuckians. With an annual budget of $600,000, the program surpassed $100 million in savings in the first 24 months.
